Welcome to another Meet the Maker interview! I’m so excited to introduce you to Kristen Caldwell of Hooks, Books, & Wanderlust! I have been Instagram friendly with Kristen for several years. We share a lot in common with our small kids and yarny businesses. It was such a joy to learn more about her and her craft journey. If you haven’t checked out Kristen’s beautiful crochet patterns, you’re going to want to snag one or two. They’re packed with so many tips and tutorials. You’re sure to finish your project feeling amazing about the time you spent!
Bio
Kristen is a wife, mom, maker and breast cancer survivor. She started crocheting while pregnant with her second child so she could make him a special blanket, then after a cancer diagnosis, she was making all the hats for her hairless head! Self-taught through YouTube, Kristen has turned to designing with the hopes to help others strengthen their skills with patterns designed to accommodate all levels of pattern-readers and types of learners. It’s her hope that anyone can pick up one of her patterns and make a project to be proud of. When she isn’t crocheting or shuttling her kids to/from activities, she can be found with her nose in a book, tea in hand, and dreaming of her next travel adventure.
